Data Center Solutions Engineer

Job Description

Technical Skills

  • Adheres to DELLEMC product-specific guidelines, procedures, and best practices.
  • Advanced Systems Diagnostic skills to isolate problems among DELLEMC, other OEM vendors, or software and develop appropriate action plans accordingly.
  • Prepare test plans including test cases and lab configurations.
  • Troubleshoot test failures to determine if the issue is a test, product, or integration.
  • Provide documentation of evaluations, best practices, results, and methodologies.
  • Adheres to proper escalation procedures.
  • Updates CSI at the completion of an event.
  • Assure complete customer satisfaction by adherence to the following: Prompt onsite arrival time, Technical expertise, and Professionalism.
  • Assist Sales and Pre-Sales in assessing environments and developing the right solution and design.
  • Submit accurate and timely expense reports, EAS/CSI updates, and timecards.
  • Attends training classes as required to develop and maintain a working knowledge of DELL EMC equipment, software, and OEM equipment and ensure continued valid partnership with DELL EMC
  • Solid experience in DELLEMC center solutions such as Storage, Replication, Virtualization, Backup, and Archiving.
  • To be able to give customers the needed knowledge transfer when requested.
  • To be able to give training to customers on different products.

Qualifications

  • BA degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
  • 2 plus years experience in DELL EMC Data Center Solutions
  • DELL EMC certification is preferable, other vendors' certification is mandatory.
