JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources (HR) Officer is responsible for various tasks related to payroll, staff information management, onboarding and separation process, recruitment coordination, and tax preparation. The main responsibilities include preparing and processing monthly payroll and payments for consultants, updating staff information on HR systems, ensuring that all required documents are signed and archived, managing the onboarding and separation process, supporting the income tax preparation process, coordinating recruitment activities, and assisting with camp visits. The HR Officer is expected to work under the supervision of the Senior HR Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for preparing the payroll, reflected changes, additions, and deductions, acting, maternity, tax and social security, insurance…etc. on monthly basis.
  • Responsible for collecting Consultants’ invoices, and preparing monthly payments to be shared with the Finance team on a timely basis.
  • Collect the change of status letters (COSs) and make sure that they are fully signed by the concerned parties.
  • Responsible for updating staff information on the HR system (such as salary changes, new location, Grant, marital status, leaves, income tax info, ..etc)
  • Prepare all staff extension letters and make sure that they are fully signed by all concerned parties in a timely manner, in addition to archiving them.
  • Responsible for On-Boarding training in coordination with all concerned parties.
  • Responsible for the whole process of staff separation, and preparing resigned staff payments on a timely basis, including the follow-up with the finance department on that, in addition to archiving them.
  • Support in reviewing and verifying newly hired staff personal files.
  • Manage income tax preparation process under the supervision of the Senior HR Officer.
  • Participate in the recruitment process and coordinate with the hiring team when requested.
  • Coordinate with the Senior HR Officer for visits to the camps and provide support when needed.
  • Any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Typically, Bachelor of Business Administration, Public Management, industrial engineer or any relevant education in the business field.
  • From 2-6 years of relevant and progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR-related tasks such as payroll, recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management
  • Knowledge of Jordanian labor laws, and social security.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word..etc)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Very good in the English language whether in writing or speaking.
  • Experience in working with INGOs is preferable but not mandatory.
