Position: Media and Events Specialist

FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Media and Events Specialist for the USAID Jordan Community Health and Nutrition project. The Community Health and Nutrition project aims to improve the nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women and children under the age of two in three target governorates in Jordan. The project seeks to support child and maternal health and nutrition by improving breastfeeding practices, introducing appropriate complementary foods at the right time, and ensuring appropriate child spacing through postpartum family planning and continued adoption of modern forms of contraception. This position will be based in Amman, Jordan for a duration of three months renewable as per the project needs.
Job Requirements:
The Media and Events Specialist reports directly to the Social Behavior Change Communication Director. S/he will play a key role in supporting the Social and Behavior and Change (SBC) activities. S/he will be overseeing the production of the TVCs, radio spots and other designs for CHN’s MYICN and MYICN MSN mass media campaign and its creative production. In addition, S/he will be supporting the event management in planning and executing the campaign launch event. More specifically, responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Work closely with the SBCC Director to prepare and launch the upcoming media campaign.
- Work closely with the media production agency to ensure campaign deliverables are produced in high quality that meet the specifications and branding guidelines. This includes the technical supervision of scouting, casting, video shooting, voice over, photography, and the production of TVC and radio spots in format suitable for the different TV and radio stations.
- Lead the designer to ensure all designs meet the required specifications and branding guidelines.
- Supervise the production of a short documentary video about the project’s different activities. This includes supervising the script writing, storyboard, locations, video shooting of activities and interviews.
- Work closely with the event management agency to provide ideas, plan and execute the campaign launch event. This includes venue, set-ups, invitations, backdrop, rollups, technical preparations (e.g., audiovisual), logistics, press, suppliers, speakers, catering… etc.
- Provide full detailed reports on the campaign and the campaign launch event.
- Any other related duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure the campaign success.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a university degree in Media, Marketing, or any other related field.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in planning and executing mass media campaigns.
- Experience working with video production agencies, media buying agencies and event management agencies.
- Wide knowledge in videography, photography, graphic designs software.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of audiences and organizations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Creativity and strong organizational skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Experience working on USAID funded projects with an understanding of USAID’s rules and regulations preferred.
- Ability to multitask is highly desired.
- Must be able to be to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
