Job Objective:

To have automated/intelligent backup systems that ensures transmission and broadcasting continuity in case of any failure that encounters the broadcasting chain.
To improve on air problem resolution time.
To ensure that MCR procedures are satisfying ITIL International Certification requirements.
To assure that all activities within department are in accordance with Group Policies
Helps the senior MCR engineer in Supervising the incoming and outgoing contributions to MBC TV channels & Radio.
Provide outbound transmission services and inbound transmission services and support intake of remote transmissions
Closely monitor all on air channels for infections & problems & troubleshoot problems if any, inform and help the Senior MCR engineer in the resolution.
Effectively receive and record live interviews & programs via Satellite and streaming over SRT, RTMPS, Zixi, 3G, etc
Effectively operate the SNG transmission when required.
Tightly control the quality.
content & files for internet feeds & ingesting files into MCR systems (Avid and Dalet)"
Participate in the design and installation of the MCR expansion.
Responsible for receiving and recording live feeds of programs, interviews, stories, etc.
Help if possible to regularly perform antenna schedule maintenance every month
Regularly add channels to the internal IPTV network.
Perform other tasks & duties as and when required

Networks modelling. (CCNA is preferred)
Technology troubleshooting
MCR & Satellite technologies, tools, and systems (Encoders, IRDs, DVB and CA operation)
MCR& Broadcasting systems (MediaKind, Ateme, Imagine, Evertz, Xicom, TVU, etc…)
Media technologies (Avid, Media Browse/Capture manager and Dalet)
