Job Description

We invite you to a career full of innovation as a Purchasing Specialist reporting to the Supply Chain Manager at the Avery Dennison Saray/Tekirdag Factory.
To organize procurement of raw materials and non raw material part in accordance with the agreed budgets and strategies of the company, operational plans as well Global and national regulations and procedures.
To perform specific activities related to purchasing of raw materials in order to ensure smooth production operations and sales plans fulfillment in line with the current purchasing strategy , budgets , company targets , initiates , leads , contributes to cost saving projects.
To create optimal purchasing for raw materials and ensure efficient and on time deliveries of raw materials in order to prevent any stock out problem.
To manage inventory level and reduce storage costs is included.
Purchases and organizes deliveries of the raw materials and other needs (both local and import) under the supervision of Supply Chain Manager (in accordance with the agreed budgets and operational plans),
Leads the negotiations on commercial terms with suppliers at all levels and preparation of agreements,
Continuously examines and analyzes current and potential purchase requirements / needs (to be extended further…),
Monitors market in the area of delegation, trends, information about suppliers, etc,
Maintains contacts with the suppliers for the trusted cooperation, searches for and establishes contacts with new suppliers.

Qualifications

University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering etc,
2-3 years of experience in Purchasing in textile or similar industry,
Excellent command of both written and spoken English,
Ability to combine the procurement processes and enhance the systems, in order to make our job easier to get done,
Ability to adapt to a fast-working environment and willing to work at both strategically and operational levels,
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially good knowledge in excel and ERP will be an asset,
Strong analytical and business problem solving skills,
Excellent communication and organization skills,
Good planning and negotiation skills,
Good presentation skills,
Proactive, team player,
Understanding of pricing procedures, tendering process, purchasing methods, etc.
