The role IT Consultant reports to the IT Director and reports to the other leaders in the Department as per the Project/Program requirements, is responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive information technology strategy to optimize the posture of the IT Department as per the international standards.

The complexity of this position requires a leadership – imaginative, and collaborative, with a sophisticated ability to work with other leaders/heads inside the IT Department to set the best balance between strategies and other priorities at the department level.

Working conditions Should be requested to work overtime and weekends for special project/program/events

Mandatory Skills

The emphasis of this position is on leadership and judgment, with a sophisticated ability to work with other leaders and to set the best balance between strategies and other priorities at the department level.
Experience as an PMO, IT Application Manager; Managing an IT department’s application section in a complex IT infrastructure is highly desirable.
Understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools.
Significant experience in computing and information technology methodologies, IT network concepts, Server and Storage technologies and various Application.
A background check, and verification of eligibility for employment, will be required prior to hire.
Work closely with IT leaders, Project Managers, Technical experts across the department that requires an in-depth understanding of the IT environment in their function/department.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in management information Science or other related field is required;
An advanced PG degree is preferred.
Professional certifications in software engineering especially in Microsoft Technologies, Oracle, MS Azure is highly desirable.
Other characteristics such as personal characteristic Excellent communication and social skills.
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Persuasive and can work effectively with in the department and communicate information technology related concepts to technical and non-technical staff.
Experience advising and collaborating with senior management.
The ability to work in a team/collaborative environment with a broad range of constituencies is essential.
Ability to exhibit maturity, reliability, composure, and stability under pressure.
Able to give and take constructive criticism well and be gracious and slow to anger.
15 yrs direct work experience as a head/manager of IT Applications, including all aspects of process development and execution.
Experience in developing and administering an information technology strategy program in a complex IT infrastructure is highly desirable.
Understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools.
