Job Summary:

Being able as a pediatrician to cover pediatric inward department, doing regular daily rounds, cover post-natal services with routine neonatal examination, attending complicated deliveries and caesarian sections, cover the ER pediatrics service.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide medical care related to pediatrics and neonatal care to patients, including prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
  2. Ensure the implementation of Jordan MOH clinical policies, tools, guidelines and protocols related pediatric and neonate care in order to minimize clinical risk and to extend best possible services under his/her expertize.
  3. In collaboration with other medical colleagues, collect the quantitative pediatric and neonatal data and ensure the use of management tools in order to improve the pediatric and neonatal services provision and to ensure the safe and high qualified overall performance.
  4. Supervise the maintenance and running of the pediatric equipment and drug consumption, preparing new orders when required and ensuring their rational use.
  5. Available to cover service either as 8 hours shift or 24 hours shift whenever needed either schedule or in emergency situation, on weekdays days or public holidays, being on call either alone or with other pediatrician.
  6. Available for Pediatrics urgent transfer to other health facilities if needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Medicine
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics (either Jordanian or Arabian Board)
  • License of practice as Pediatrician from MOH
  • Excellent communication skills
