Head of Enterprise Architecture – Investor Platforms

A successful retail and institutional brokerage based in Abu Dhabi is currently undergoing a multi-year transformation to become a faster growing, purpose-led, AI-driven enterprise that delivers market-leading personalized content, propositions and experience to traders.
Your Responsibilities
- To drive this innovative transformation, the Head of Enterprise Architecture will create a cohesive and long-term view of the organizational architecture and verify that the IT strategy is aligned with the organization's strategy.
- This will require envisioning, setting the direction, improving and upgrading our enterprise architecture.
- The role is essential to ensure that we can achieve a competitive advantage by leveraging the latest technology.
- Baseline current enterprise architecture to include our new platforms and all the relevant and complex integrations that now exist.
- Provide strategic direction for the key platforms, work through all the key systems with the support of all the business and technology areas to come up with a clear strategy.
- Analyse, design, plan and implement an architectural framework and technology roadmap that is fit for growth, ensuring that legacy applications combine effectively and flexibly with current and future applications.
- Participate in the evaluation of new technologies to ensure that the advancement of technology architecture and data within and are in accordance with the business needs.
- Support the organization in defining and optimizing business processes, eliminate redundancies and promote productive use of assets.
- Drive informed decision-making around architecture and solutioning, arbitrating where necessary.
- Align with the Transformation Office to support the prioritisation of the transformation roadmap from an architecture perspective.
Your Qualifications
- 15+ years working with complex trading architecture platforms, cutting out ambiguity to articulate the enterprise architecture and design
- Experience in the Financial Services industry
- Certification in Agile and Project Management methodologies
- Able to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders to baseline current systems design and drive through future strategic direction
- Detailed experience with devops and ci/cd practices to influence future enterprise design
- Comfortable using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience with MT4, MT5, KX, Adaptive and Fix Messaging is preferred
- TOGAF certification and COBIT, SOA, ITIL, AWS certification is preferable.
- Experience working with Cloud Technology – Microsoft Azure, AWS
- Detailed experience of completing complex technical architecture documentation and diagrams
- Experience creating and maintaining EAF, ETAR, ETAB, EAAB, EIA documentation
- Able to work in a challenging fast-paced environment
