IT Change Manager

Job Description

Job Purpose
To lead and manage planning, developing, delivering, and tracking of change management deliverables ensuring change queues and releases to the IT environment are business driven, appropriately authorized, tracked and managed in an effective and efficient manner with minimum risk to the organization In addition, manage stakeholder engagement, perform change impact assessment, organizational readiness analysis, coaching, resistance management, and change reinforcement to protect the IT systems of the organization, identify and avoid unacceptable risk, and determine the most appropriate time to commit changes to the production systems in accordance with IT team's strategic initiatives.
Job Accountabilities:-
Business Specific:
1. Review change requests to accept or reject.
2. Monitor and continuously optimize change requests pool.
3. Ensure correct categorization and details of change requests.
4. Ensuring the risks, benefits, and dependencies for each change is well understood
5. Monitor and prioritize changes according to business or IT objectives.
6. Monitor the transition of changes to production by ensuring the availability of minimum requirements before obtaining CAB approval.
7. Convene the change advisory board (CAB) meetings to ensure only approved changes are deployed.
8. Coordinate planned changes for deployment to minimize the business impact of downtime.
9. Reduced post-release issues.
10. Enable change to happen safely by optimal orchestration between IT teams.
11. Mediate conflicts related to the change where necessary.
12. Conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) after the implementation of changes.
13. Maintain all change documentation (policies, procedures, templates, etc.).
14. Monitor and adhere to change management SLAs, KPIs and KRIs.
15. Facilitate internal audit, external audit and risk reviews when conducted by respective teams.
16. Produce management ad hoc and planned reports. Generic Policies & Procedures: Implements approved departmental policies, processes, procedures Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with all CBK, GB operational procedures, Risk and AML policies and procedures
Key Performance Indicators
– Ensure all change management KPIs are met throughout the year.
– Ensure all change processes are properly governed, executed and maintained throughout.
– Effectiveness in managing change management processes.
– Quality IT changes goes live on budget and time.
– Quality in generating reporting and dashboards.
– Consistency in maintaining adequate turnaround time on query / complaint resolution
– Overall employee satisfaction levels (measured by internal surveys)
– Adherence to bank&rsquos overall policy and IT procedures
– Compliance with all GB policies and security mandates Risk, Operational and AML policy compliance
Education & Qualification
Bachelors Computer Science Bachelors in IT/ Computer science
Knowledge
IT Change Management process and practise, Application development lifecycle and testing process, IT organisation models, Awareness of critical banking processes, Understanding of bank&rsquos IT processes.
Experience
8- 10 years of experience in relevant field of which at least 3 years are focused IT change management tools and practices preferable in a financial services organization crisis management Team management.
