Marketing Executive – Dhahran

Job Description

  1. KEY PURPOSE:
  • The Marketing Communications Executive prime responsibility is to support the Marketing Communications Manager with the development and implementation of market leading communications, promotions through all elements of the Marketing Mix. These will executed both internally and externally. The Communications Assistant must ensure all communications adhere to the brand guidelines and values set by DHL.
  • Assistance to the Communications Manager may also be required on an adhoc basis to help deliver all marketing activity ensuring all communication strategies are met.
  • The marketing executive's prime responsibility is to develop and implement below the line marketing materials to include support to communications, promotions and Internal Communications These will be executed both internally and externally, therefore the position must ensure all communication material adheres to the brand guidelines and values set by DHL.
  1. REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Produce designs concepts in line with sales and marketing objectives and in conjunction with Marketing Manager
  • Develop literature outstanding and advertising in line with regional and UAE design, copy, branding and quality standards.
  • Produce strategy for Media Purchase and placement of communications ensuring quality, timeliness and progressing relationships with media suppliers.
  • Produce and drive internal communication plan and strategy in conjunction with Marketing Manager, HR and other Communications Manager.
  • Implement cost effective give-away strategy including purchase and distribution, ensuring optimum customer relationships.
  • Develop and update Sales and Marketing communications resulting in optimum Sales Force education and motivation.
  • Ensure filing, maintenance and distribution of marketing material including competitor information and DHL literature.
  • Occasionally liaise with creative agency at all levels from initial briefing through to execution of communications.
  • Complete all finished artwork ready for print

Research Process
Liaise with Marketing Communications Manager and Country Manager to develop Research brief.
Execute brief through appointed research agencies to fulfill commercial reporting requirements, e.g. market share, brand awareness etc.

Planning Process
To provide input to the overall planning process.
Assist in the segmentation of the customer base to assist the targeting and positioning process.
Use creativity to conceive of innovative promotional activities to maximise the revenue potential from commercially attractive segments.
Identify issues and problem areas and to conduct research on behalf of the company to assist in the development of new products and services and present recommendations, where applicable, to improve the performance of the business.
Marketing Campaign Execution
Assist in the development, coordination and execution of internal and external marketing campaigns in conjunction with DHL appointed suppliers i.e., advertising agencies, public relations firms and design companies, etc.
Customer Execution
Assist the E-Commerce Manager in the development of an effective business model for customer access which will include all DHL Customer Automation applications, Internet, Intranet and Extranet commercial applications.
Analysis and Administration
Provide concise and accurate analysis on the success of marketing campaigns.

Administrative skill sets and good organisation, meeting deadlines through effective time management, and ability to absorb and interpret information, the ability to work and deliver under stress.

  1. DEGREE OF SUPERVISION

Marketing Communications Manager will meet with the incumbent daily.

  1. PERSON SPECIFICATION
    1. Education

Good Qualifications (degree preferred).
Business degree with marketing specialization will be an advantage

    1. Experience

Commercially astute. Experience of the DHL Operation in Saudi Arabia. Appreciation of the Customer Service perspective.

    1. Technical Knowledge/Skills

Excellent Knowledge and experience in computer systems including Internet applications.
Microsoft Office applications, esp. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

  • Motivated and a definite self-starter with a professional and conscientious manner.

  • 2-3 years In house Design Experience either client or agency side

  • Must possess a creative and analytical ability
  • Excellent Mac/PC skills including extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite to include, Quark, and knowledge of web based creative packages would also be advantageous to Marcomedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Java Script etc.
  • Able to work as part of a motivated team.
  • Ability to develop good internal working relationships.
  • Ability to manage suppliers and supplier relationships in a cost-effective fashion.
