Executive Head Chef- THAI

Objective

A luxury Asian Fine Dining Restaurant (Thai) in Bahrain is looking for an experienced well seasoned Head Chef (Thai ) The Head Chef will be primarily responsible for

creating innovative cuisine and providing a satisfying culinary experience for guests.

The Head Chef will have the flexibility to set up the team to assist them to operate optimally.

Main Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily operations of the staff and kitchen
  • Ongoing creation of innovative new menu items
  • Motivating, training and educating all kitchen staff
  • Considering the needs of the guests in all decisions
  • Ordering and purchasing ingredients and maintaining necessary inventory
  • Abide by all safety regulations to ensure employee safety and restaurant cleanliness
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction and seek feedback on menu items
  • Maintaining quality continually of the culinary product
  • Administrative duties related to staff and other management matters.
  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Approve and polish dishes before they reach the customer
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
  • Arrange for repairs when necessary
  • Remedy any problems or defects
  • Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
  • Oversee the work of subordinates
  • Estimate staffs workload and compensations
  • Maintain records of payroll and attendance
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers

Requirements And SkillsMinimum of 5-7 years experience working in 5star establishments or awarded restaurants

  • Proven culinary creativity and innovation
  • Strong decision-making, organization & leadership skills
  • Proven background in staff management and ability to recruit, train and motivate staff to
  • Ensure a satisfactory experience for all guests
  • Ability to consider the business aspects and cost control when creating new dishes
  • Precision and cleanliness
  • Full Covid-19 Vaccination mandatory
  • CV must be submitted in English
  • Experience working 5* or award-winning restaurants are crucial for this role.
