Qualifications:
· IRATA International Rope Access Level 3 Supervisor
· ITRA Rope and Confined Space Rescue – Level 3
- Reports directly to the Client focal point.
- Should be able to coordinate a team which is responding to an incident, by the use of technical rope rescue and/or confined space rescue techniques.
- Is responsible for direct supervision of the rescue team operations.
- Determines RESCUE or RECOVERY mode. Performs a continuous hazard analysis and
risk assessment.
- Provides access accountability and maintains an ongoing awareness of the location and
condition of all members.
- Provides and maintains safety and scene security.
- Makes key assignments of personnel:
- Determines an action plan, communicates the plan, and ensures that the plan is adhered
to. Develops a back-up contingency plan.
- Ensures that the appropriate PPE is utilized and equipment to provide protection from
those hazards to which personnel are exposed or could be exposed isprovided.
- Initiates, maintains, and controls incident communications.
- Ensures that medical care at a minimum level of basic life support (BLS) is provided.
- Conducts pre-entry briefing with the team.
- Ensures that all rope systems have been safety checked prior to operation.
- Oil & Gas experience preferred
