Location Suite H&I,Business Centre, BIIP, Building 731, Road 1510, Al Hidd, BAHRAIN, 115, Bahrain Category Sales, Marketing & Sales Support Job Id req369910 · Reporting Relationships: The Process optimization Consultant will report to the MEAI (Middle East, Africa and India Solutions Consulting Director – Honeywell Connected Industrials (HCI) · The Optimization Consultant is responsible for supporting the Regional Solutions Consultants and regional sales teams across MEAI (Middle East, Africa and India) to lead Process Optimization engagements in the O&G – upstream and downstream, MMM & chemical sectors. You will conduct diagnostic workshops/ studies with customers to identify process optimization value potential and frame a value proposition leveraging technology, processes & people. You will work with the regional sales, global Product Managers, the Proposal & Estimates team and the MEAI leadership team to deliver pilots/ PoC if needed, diagnostic workshops and customer demos/ presentations. · The successful candidate will have the right balance of deep technical knowledge of process optimization technology (e.g., APC, simulation, blending, energy efficiency, process unit monitoring, alarm management, etc.) and process profitability drivers (excluding uptime improvements, incl. yield optimization, throughput variability, etc.) to successfully lead this role. He should demonstrate a passion for winning, an ability to think big & make it happen, an entrepreneurial mindset, the flexibility to cope with change, creativity and the drive to deliver stretched targets in a dynamic environment. · Consolidate pole experience in connected engagements (value delivered, lessons learnt, customer segmentation, etc.)
The Process optimization Consultant is a Specialized Consultant role and will support the Regional Solutions Consultant across EMEA with the following activities:
· Prepare & lead customer presentation on the process optimization initiative for a C- level audience as well as technical plant manager/ process engineering audience including value potential, prioritized value levers, solution components and integrations, support & value sustaining methods · Work with regional solution consultants, product, engineering and analytics colleagues to successfully deliver process optimization proposal · Understand/ assess customer requirements/ definition of success and fit with their overall digital transformation objectives · Investigate current customer situation, potential for process optimization and potential constraints for solution deployment · Develop a value prop leveraging the Honeywell process optimization portfolio (e.g., APC, plant wide optimization, simulation, blending optimization, energy efficiency optimization, UOP unit optimization n, etc) and any non-technical requirements (e.g., change management, workflow transformation, etc) · Lead process optimization diagnostics at customers. Understand their current practices, potential value from process optimization & deployment constraints · Provide feedback & improvement ideas to the process optimization product team · This role will require a significant experience in both process optimization technology and Process plant profitability improvement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience combining Process optimization technology: designing, deploying, using process optimization applications in the O&G sectors (e.g., APC, simulation, blending, energy efficiency, process unit monitoring, alarm management, etc.) · Process plant profitability improvement: clear understanding of the EBITDA drivers of downstream plants, critical EBITDA improvements drivers from process optimization, critical value trade-offs in implementing optimization initiatives, etc. · The ideal candidate should have experience in conducting process profitability diagnostic, identifying optimization initiatives, and developing solutions to capture these opportunities · The successful candidate will be expected to be a high-energy, creative, and resourceful self- starter who demonstrates leadership skills and instincts. He/she is highly intelligent and enthusiastic with a commitment to excellence. In terms of personal competencies, the successful candidate must be a hands-on person who possesses the best combination of strategic thinking and drive to achieve tangible business results. · Leadership: A confident, mature person with the ability to connect and inspire others. A proven track record of leading projects and teams that successfully achieve milestones and complete deliverables. Also, a proven track record of attracting, developing, and leading a world class organization · Technology/ digital knowledge: the candidate should have significant knowledge of process optimization applications available in the market with an understanding of the latest trends (e.g., enterprise level optimization, use of AI/ML). The candidate should be comfortable in a conversation with the product team/ application engineers to link process optimization best practices to actual solution features/ improvement requirements · Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills: A team player and builder, receptive to ideas from others. Shares information and keeps team members and partners informed. Works effectively with others to identify and resolve issues. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact successfully with all levels of management as well as a diverse work force · Ability to travel at least 30-50% of the time across the Middle East, Africa and India regions.
