The opportunity
Project: A world class resort project located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This unique project will be the first of its kind in the UAE and is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Construction Director.
This key role will report to the project director, the position will be full-time and based on-site in the Ras Al Khaimah project office. The successful candidate must demonstrate proven ability to deliver high end hospitality projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects at a strategic level.
- Creating vision and strategy and leads people through change.
- Monitoring project performance on key areas (safety management, risk assessment, risk management, value management.
- Understanding financial/legal aspects of projects (contracts/insurance), statutory requirements, legal framework (local rules and regulations), safety regulations, environmental legislation.
- Providing strategic level leadership and will work with the client and project stakeholders on all key project matters.
- Managing and motivating the Mace team.
- Managing relationships with the client and other project stakeholders.
- Responsible for approval and teams compliance with the project execution plan, and ensure that all relevant parties, through your team, understand these project objectives.
- Ensuring the project is planned, managed, and monitored and robust and accurate reporting is in place.
- Complying with Mace processes and procedures and deliver our services in line with Mace core values.
- Ensuring the project planning and monitoring of the progress is in line with the strategic goals and in compliance with Mace procedures. Ensure reporting of issues is accurate and timely.
- Ensuring the project team develops all necessary project plans and keep them updated and relevant over the course of the project.
About you
You have HND or degree in construction management, engineering or architecture, chartered/registered member of a relevant institution (e.g. CIOB or ICE), 20+ years experience, you are proactive in managing the happiness and wellbeing of your team.
