Job Description
The job holder is in charge of the technical design aspects related to process engineering of the integration of the project to companies existing facilities complex B for the main part, Complex E for low pressure gas export, Complex C for WAG.
The job holder will support, when workload will justify it, the engineering of Riser platform, new wellhead platforms (WHP), new pipelines, their integration to the existing asset and some brownfield slot extension projects.
The job Holder will support other MP projects in his/her field of competences performing engineering quality insurance/control activities, providing expertise to solve technical issues, providing support for technical decisions and/or qualification of change requests.
The Job holder is based in companies Major Projects offices (Doha) and perform mission in CTR premises worldwide when required.
He (She) reports directly to the Engineering Manager of Major Projects,
He (she) reports functionally to proj Head of Engineering for all points related to the project.
ACTIVITIES
- Promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other companies HSEQ procedures in all activities
- Carry out work in compliance with companies values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed companies priorities and objectives, companies standards and procedures and good industry practices,
- Lead of engineering development activities related to Process and Utilities systems of the project associated to the integration scope in companies existing facilities including main engineering Contractors, long lead items and packages vendors scopes (as applicable). The scope of activities will gather the brownfield activities on existing platforms and all associated links to the new facillities.
- Ensure that links to the new facilities to companies existing facilities (exports, imports and mutualization) have robust bases of design and proper definition for safe operation and a further efficient detailed engineering.
- Ensure with other disciplines that project scope of modification within existing facilities is optimized to reduce the offshore manhours / production shortfalls and match the project execution strategy.
- The activities include the review and comment of engineering and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with design dossier, SOR, Company specifications, Corporate standard and HSEQ regulation, international codes, BV applicable rules,
- Develop FEED Process scope in line with Pre-FEED and Statement of Requirements ensure consistency in various FEED process documentations and deliverables and ITT documents,
- Develop EPC Process discipline scope in line with FEED project and Statement of Requirements ensure consistency in various EPC process documentations and deliverables and ITT documents,
- Instruct and consolidate any optimization in the design dossier that is agreed to proceed.
- Study and characterize alternatives for process design to reduce and optimise the offshore installations weight
- Contribute to cost-saving solutions definitions in the design of the offshore installations.
- Instruct deviations from the NOC referential,
- Ensure that relevant feedbacks from previous similar projects are considered in the design performance,
- Participate actively in the making of technical decisions, in meetings with potential contractors and vendors,
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with Contractors, and in specific ad hoc meetings as required by management,
- Provide assistance / answer technical queries. Instruct and provide support in deviations requests related to Process issues,
- Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, constructability and operational matters,
- Participate in the technical analysis of offers and assist in vendor selection,
- Contribute to contract documents finalization,
- Participate in the HAZID/ HAZOP/ Project reviews sessions with companies , Contractors and vendors teams,
- Provide technical answers and clarifications to internal project audit sessions (PR, HAZOP, etc),
- Contribute to the engineering interfaces,
- Contribute to detailed progress reporting to project management,
- Assist project management team to reply to various correspondence by providing technical support,
- Carry out any other duty or task that may be assigned by hierarchical superiors in line with discipline expertise,
- Treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality.
- Support on demand other MP projects to solve technical issues bases of design, scope, option selection, change qualification.
- Support MP Engineering on demand with engineering quality assurance/ control missions
- Qualification: Master's degree in process system engineering,
- Project engineering experience as led process engineer,
- Process Field experience / Brownfield project experience
- Experience of NOC Standard / Totalenergies standards is a plus
- Available for technical missions worldwide.
- Language: Fluent English.
- Computer literate, especially in process simulation.
- Good communication and analytical skills
