Hiring Geological Engineer

Main Duties

• Prepare detailed studies and short-term plan for existing quarries to cover annual production budgeted raw materials quantities.

• Execute the quarry plan and undertake prospecting for raw material

• Arrange detailed study of raw material deposit

• Supervise surveying, drilling and sampling programs for active quarries

• Examine rocks, minerals and fossil remains to identify and determine litho-logical sequence, chemical properties that affecting of existing quarries

• Conduct core logging, preparing samples, and coordinate with Quality Control Department for the analysis.

• Correlate the analysis of core samples with the raw material and establish the useable reserves for future planning.

• Delineate dolomite and other waste materials occurring in quarry and coordinate with extraction sub-section for removal of these overburden/waste materials.

• Responsible for the compatibility between the quality and quantities as per stockpile design and capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining/ Geology Engineering

• 2+ years of experience in a Mining

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of mining operations procedures with working knowledge of cement manufacturing process and equipment

• Understanding of quarry exploration; experience in a quarry is real plus

• The applicant should be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and dealing with aerial maps

• The applicant should master the study of geological and topographic maps and their field analysis.

• Should have knowledge of the laws and regulations of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Authority

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of mining operations procedures with working knowledge of cement manufacturing process and equipment
