Chief Accountant: Purpose: The chief Accountant is in-charge of all accounting activities of both financial and management accounting. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed. Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries. Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines. Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements. Generate financial reports and statements to the management for review. Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions. Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues, and determine budget variances and report the same to management. Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion. Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts. Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations. Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations. Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures. Ensures that the company abides with the set of laws implemented by Jordan local authorities related to taxes and handing financial transactions. Comply with all of the company procedures and policies. Education & Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field. 7 to 10 years of experience in Finance department with a minimum 3 years (Supervisory Role) / Proven previous work experience for a real estate and constructions company is an advantage Excellent English both spoken and written.
