Position: WASH Engineer Assistant

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To support the implementation and monitoring of the grey water network maintenance within World Vision’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) program at Azraq Refugee camp.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Implementation

Work with supervisor to develop detailed, site-specific work plan to ensure adequate technical oversight of maintenance operations at the field-level
Carry out field-level technical assessments and data analysis.
Supervise field-level WASH infrastructure maintenance works.
Inspect all WASH Infrastructure and provide certification reports.
Coordinate with the partners at the camp with related to the project aspects as delegated from the line manager.
Design

Contribute to the development of Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for the required activities.
Information Management/Reporting:

Report the daily progress of works to supervisor          
Ensure that all project data, like workers’ attendance, contracts, purchase orders, daily reports and certificates at sites level are well managed and provides an accurate representation of the reality on the ground.
Security management responsibilities:

Responsible of the day-to-day security management at the site.
Abide by the security procedures and policies and report any breaches
HEA responsibilities:

Be aware of emergency procedures in a response.
Other duties:

Attend and participate in any meetings at camp level related to the project as assigned.
Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

At least 3 years of experience in WaSH infrastructure projects.
Experience in installing and maintenance of sewage and grey water networks.
Azraq refugee camps experience is preferable.
NGOs experience is preferable.
