The King Hussein Foundation/ Institute For Family Health is looking to recruit Project Officer / Assistant- (Fixed Term Project):
Job Purpose:
Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Officer / Assistant will be responsible for working on planning, coordinating, and following up on all tasks required for the execution of the project with all team members, department and and institutions (Institute For Family Health & Information And Research Centre) to ensure the project's objectives are met.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assisting in implementation of project plans according to project objectives.
- Assisting in identifying obstacles and issues and reporting them to the project manager.
- Preparing purchase orders and following up with procurement.
- Monitor employee & Volunteer time sheets, prepare and collect them for all primary and subordinate project personnel, and present them to the project manager & project accountant.
- Assist in the drafting of volunteer contracts by filling in their data and tasks as assigned by the project manager.
- Preparing procurement plans in coordination with the project manager, ensuring alignment with the allocated budget.
- Coordinating the project's efficient administration, with an emphasis on the quality of activities and campaigns carried out, adherence to the implementation schedule, and financial management in coordination with the project manager.
- Performing all project-related organizing and office chores.
- Coordinate the compilation of technical reports as well as the preparation of periodic and narrative major project reports for submission to the project manager.
- Conducting regular field visits to the project locations.
- Preparing for project meetings and trainings.
- Carry out any other tasks and obligations assigned to you by your line manager that fit within your area of expertise.
Major Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, or any related Field.
- (2-3) years minimum experience.
Skills & Abilities:
- Good awareness of the law and regulations of humanitarian and international institutions.
- Good awareness of preparation reports either in English or Arabic.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability of working and understanding multicultural environments in which development and community engagement projects operate.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS word, Excel, etc.).
Language Requirements:
- Excellent English & Arabic communication skills (both oral and written).
