Technical Sector Safety Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) activities within the Technical Sector.
- Ensuring the reporting of hazards and occurrences by Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) personnel.
- Following up on Aircraft Condition Monitoring System (ACMS) outputs and results.
- Updating RJ risk register to include the technical sector (E&M) safety risks.
- Analyzing reports and identifying repeated issues.
- Reporting all Mandatory Occurrence Report (related to E&M) to civil aviation authority and the State of occurrence where applicable.
- Identifying present and potential hazards to the technical sector (E&M) and coordinate the establishment of annual safety performance measures.
- Preparing for and/ or actively participate in Safety Action Group (SAG) meetings.
- Preparing for Safety Review Board Meeting (SRB).
- Identifying, assessing, and evaluating the impact of operational changes on safety, actively participating in the Management of Change process related to the technical sector (E&M).
- Following up on and verifying the implementation of safety risk controls and investigation safety recommendations.
- Participating in safety promotion and communication initiatives within the technical sector (E&M).
- Participating in the investigation of incidents within the technical sector (E&M).
- Analyzing incident reports to identify trends and areas for safety improvements among contracted service providers.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem Solving and Team Player.
- Analytical Skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge in Aviation Safety Management System
Qualifications:
- Minumum 2 years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field
