INVESTIGATIONS ASSISTANT - Equivalent to G10

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent will:
• assist Central Intake Unit by conducting initial assessments of allegations received, including written and audio complaints, and making recommendations as to the appropriate course of action (primarily for allegations dealt with by the Department of Internal Oversight Services DIOS).
• conduct the translation of complaints/investigation material as instructed by the Investigations Officer (Intake);
• ensure the DIOS hotline - email, on-line report tool, and phone lines are in good order, through regular monitoring and checking;
• assist the CIU in collecting/ recording/ organizing information whilst ensuring that all necessary evidence is preserved/ stored;
• analyze evidence obtained and determine relevance and reliability;
• complete follow-up actions post intake committee meetings, including informing complainants/relevant parties of decisions taken concerning complaints;
• performs other duties as may be assigned by the Investigations Officer (Intake) or the Chief of the Investigations Division.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in ethics, law, human resources management, language, communication, business administration or business and office practices as recognized by the Agency;
• At least one years’ experience in open-source data analysis and translation/interpretation.
• Written and verbal fluency in both English and Arabic.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
• The Daily Paid Contractor is required to work from Sunday to Thursday each week from 7:30 to 15:00. The contract duration is 3 months with a possibility of renewal.
