SCOPE OF WORK
The LWF Counselor responds to reported incidents of gender-based violence (GBV) in a timely, survivor- centered and caring manner in order to ensure that survivors can heal through receiving planned quality holistic and appropriate health, legal safety and security and psychosocial care and support. The LWF counselor is responsible for delivering case management and counseling services in women and girls’ safe spaces. The LWF counselor also assists in raising awareness to prevent gender-based violence incidents from happening and to ensure that survivors of GBV know what the services available to them are and how to access them. In addition, the LWF counselor will provide emotional and case management support for women and girls in non-GBV cases and women at risk who disclose to them, LWF counselor conduct a group therapy and other sessions to their beneficiaries.
Requirements:
Essential:
Master’s degree in clinical psychology or counseling, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing psychological services to children and families in the context of trauma, abuse or difficult circumstances, preferably in the NGO/INGO sector.
Official MoH practice License
Committed to team-building.
Self-directed and able to take initiative.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable with rapid change.
Flexibility and willingness to cover other tasks related to the position as needed.
Commitment to LWF policies on promoting gender equality and diversity in the interests of marginalized people.
Valid Driving license.
