Qualifications and specialist knowledge
University degree in law, criminal justice, legal studies, and related fields. Advanced degrees or specialized training in criminal justice, restorative justice, or alternative dispute resolution are highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years working on justice-related issues, with a specific focus on non-custodial alternatives to imprisonment. Experience in policy development, program design, and implementation in the criminal justice sector is highly valued.
Knowledge of criminal justice systems, sentencing practices, and the challenges associated with over-reliance on incarceration. Familiarity with international standards and good practices related to non-custodial alternatives and restorative justice is advantageous.
