Working under the supervision of the Head of Mission of ME-MCP and in close collaboration with the program staff the MEAL Coordinator is responsible to fulfil the following tasks:
TECHNICAL GUIDANCE
Provides technical guidance and support on MEAL to ME-MCP program team and implementing partners both on structural and ad hoc bases.
In close cooperation with the ME-MCP Program teams and the Capacity Building Coordinator, assists once needed in assessing the MEAL capacity and gaps of partners.
In close cooperation with the ME-MCP Program teams, contributes to strengthening MEAL systems of our projects and programs over the whole Project Cycle starting from the design of new projects and programs (including MEAL budgeting), to project planning, implementation and finally close out. These systems should at least achieve the following criteria:
Measuring outputs and outcomes and lessons learned based on disaggregated data by gender and age at least and disability (if needed).
Ensuring optimal engagement of the affected populations through two way feedback loops
Measuring and reporting unforeseen positive and negative impacts
Ensures clear added value of DKH in the MEAL systems developed for the new projects and programs including specific activities to be conducted by DKH ME-MCP team members. Such activities should be designed to allow optimal accountability of DKH to affected populations.
Reviews or develops partner’s MEAL tools and SOPs and provide recommendations and guidance for improvement.
Supports the development of digitalized MEAL tools for programs and quality reporting using Kobo toolbox for example.
Supports the program team in developing robust remote monitoring systems for projects and programs physically inaccessible to DKH program teams.
