The Social Media Officer is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to engage with the organization's target audience, promote brand awareness, and increase online visibility. This role involves creating, curating, and publishing content across various social media platforms and analyzing social media data to evaluate performance and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Schedule and publish social media posts, ensuring they are optimized for maximum reach and engagement.
Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments, and engage with followers to build a strong community.
Analyze social media data to evaluate the effectiveness of social media campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure social media activities align with broader marketing initiatives.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in social media algorithms to ensure the organization's social media activities remain relevant and effective.
Work with external partners, such as social media influencers, to amplify the organization's social media reach.
Manage social media advertising campaigns and budgets, ensuring they are targeted and effective.
Qualifications
Excellent command of the English language.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in developing and executing social media strategies across multiple platforms.
Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to create engaging content.
Knowledge of social media management tools, such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and Buffer.
Experience in social media analytics and the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
Background in SEO.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
