Agrimatco Ltd, a unique international agricultural distribution company, starts searching for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our family in Jordan in our Corporate Legal Department.
Agrimatco Ltd operates in 49 countries. Our areas of activity include distribution of crop protection, specialty fertilizers, seeds, veterinary products, agricultural machineries & tools as well as public health products.
Job Summary
As a member of the Legal team, you will support all legal entities in matters relating to contracts/agreements, legal transactions, and corporate compliance. You will be responsible for providing support in verifying a variety of contracts coming from different departments, drafting legal documentation when needed and providing advice on matters that relate to the business whether corporate or otherwise. You will actively support in generally helping the company avoid possible legal risks and violations.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in law
Experience
5 years of experience, part of which gained in a law firm whether local or international.
In-house legal experience (preferable, but not necessarily required)
Languages
Excellent reading & writing English skills.
Excellent reading & writing Arabic skills.
Job Description
Perform and support contractual reviews from a variety of departments.
Provide accurate, relevant, and timely advice to the management and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics (whether corporate or otherwise) that relate to the business and the products or services.
Review different agreements with suppliers.
Give consultation on employee-related issues, if required.
Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
Provide legal support on a group level.
Collaborate with the business to effectively balance the goal of minimizing legal risk with the need to support and assist in the achievement of business and strategic objectives.
Structure, draft, and review reports and other legal documents, to the extent needed.
Provide legal support during the negotiation, signature, and review of commercial contracts.
Provide legal support that may be required in relation to investment and acquisition projects.
Provide utmost confidentiality in all business-related matters.
Provide guidance on compliance with corporate Authority Matrix, Policies, and Powers of local management in different countries.
Provide legal support globally and liaison with local legal professionals for global strategy.
Provide the business with clarification on legal language or specifications.
