Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n

As \u201cPower Supply Design Engineer\u201d in case of projects:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\n
• Assist the \u201cPower Supply Design Leader\u201d in his role of performing the basic and detailed power supply engineering activities of a traction project (metro, tramway or mainline),<\/li>\n
• Assist the \u201cPower Supply Design Leader\u201d for all interfaces with the power supply sub-system,<\/li>\n
• Participate at the REX (Return of Experience) of the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Organisation Reporting<\/p>\n

  The position reports hierarchically to the \u201cPower Supply Engineering Manager\u201d.<\/p>\n

  <\/p>\n

  The position reports functionally to one of the \u201cPower Supply Technical Manager\u201d and to the \u201cPower Supply Design Leader\u201d of the project. <\/p>\n

  • Site: Construction + tests and commissioning teams,<\/li>\n
  • External interface: Suppliers + Subcontractors + Customer + Partners,<\/li>\n
  • Regional Centers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Responsibilities<\/p>\n

      As \u201cPower Supply Design Engineer\u201d in project:<\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      • Perform the power supply (for high voltage \/ medium voltage \/ traction \/ low voltage parts) basic engineering activities of a project: <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
        • Provide electrical architectures, technical specifications, functional specifications and interface specifications, <\/li>\n
        • Provide calculation notes, <\/li>\n
        • Ensure the technical validation of the supplier\u2019s equipment offers,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
          • Perform the power supply (for high voltage \/ medium voltage \/ traction \/ low voltage parts) detailed engineering activities of a project:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
            • Follow-up and validation of the technical drawings from the equipment supplier,<\/li>\n
            • Provide the factory test procedures of the equipment,<\/li>\n
            • Participate at the factory acceptance tests of the equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
              • Assist the \u201cPower Supply Design Leader\u201d for coordination \/ interfaces with: <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
                • Egypt power supply engineering team (including automation and installation teams), <\/li>\n
                • The others sub-systems of the project, particularly: Systems, civil works, SCADA, catenary, return current, EMC, earthing & bonding, etc…<\/li>\n
                • The on-site power supply engineering team (if any), <\/li>\n
                • The customer, <\/li>\n
                • The project management team, <\/li>\n
                • The suppliers, the subcontractors, and the partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                  \n
                  • Provide technical support to Construction and Test and Commissioning teams with regards to design issues,<\/li>\n
                  • Participate (if requested) to the As-built documentation drawings modifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    Knowledge & Experience<\/p>\n

                    <\/p>\n

                    • Graduated from engineering school in electrical systems, <\/li>\n
                    • A minimum of two-three years of experience in electrical engineering, <\/li>\n
                    • Professional experience in railway transportation,<\/li>\n
                    • Good knowledge of electrical installation (high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage),<\/li>\n
                    • Autonomy, motivated, initiative, and interested in technical topics,<\/li>\n
                    • Fluent English, second language appreciated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
