  Political Trainee<\/p>\n

  Main tasks: <\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Contributing to the Section\u2019s political analysis and reporting.<\/li>\n
  • Carrying out background research on topical issues.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure coverage of public events \/ meetings and related reporting<\/li>\n
  • Assisting the Section in its responsibilities of EU coordination.<\/li>\n
  • Traineeship in the Political, Trade, Press and Information Section (PTP&I)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Press & Information Trainee<\/p>\n

      Main tasks: <\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Contribute to the design and implementation of a Communication and Outreach Strategy for the EU in Venezuela.<\/li>\n
      • Assist in the organisation of outreach and visibility events for both PTP&I and Cooperation Sections.<\/li>\n
      • Support the implementation of cultural activities and the coordination with EU Member States in this field. <\/li>\n
      • Contributing to the Delegation\u2019s daily press review<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Qualifications or special requirements<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        • Due to the current circumstances in Venezuela, familiarity with the country context and a host family in Caracas, is a prerequisite for any applicant from abroad.<\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Very good command of English is required.<\/li>\n
        • The incumbent must be able to demonstrate strong computer literacy notably for internet and web content production, webinars, and good management skills of social networks applications such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Important information to read before applying<\/strong><\/p>\n

            Before applying<\/strong> you are requested to examine the dedicated website<\/a> as well as the general eligibility criteria<\/a> for a paid traineeship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 \u2013 Paid traineeship)<\/p>\n

            Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travel inside the country of residence, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.<\/p>\n

            Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his\/her candidacy will be rejected.<\/p>\n

            Non-resident candidates must provide proof that they will be covered against the risk of a pandemic and the costs of repatriation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

            The traineeships can only be offered in compliance with the local legislation as well as the legislation of the country of origin. In assessing the applications received, account will need to be taken of the COVID-19 situation and its possible effects on access possibilities to the country of assignment and thus candidates currently residing in country of assignment might be preferred.<\/strong><\/p>\n

            The Delegation informs that even if our Headquarters confirm the eligibility of the selected candidate, traineeships could be postponed, suspended or even cancelled considering the very evolving context of the COVID-19 outbreak in the host country as well as in the country of origin. The same rule apply if a selected candidate is unable to reach the country of assignment.<\/strong><\/p>\n
