Mental Health Counselor
American International University, Kuwait for immediate start
American International University (AIU) is looking for a dynamic and engaged full-time Mental Health Counselor. We seek an individual who is passionate about mentoring and working with young adults, fomenting mental health and behavioral health services for students.
Responsibilities of Mental Health Counselor <\/p>\n

\n
• Provide mental health and behavioral health support services on campus.<\/li>\n
• On campus outreach to students in need of mental health support.<\/li>\n
• On campus promotion of mental health and overall well-being.<\/li>\n
• Identify at-risk students and, where necessary, seek further support.<\/li>\n
• Establish relationships with off-campus providers, where necessary.<\/li>\n
• Follow crisis-management procedures when necessary.<\/li>\n
• Planning and scheduling a calendar to meet regularly with students as necessary.<\/li>\n
• Providing assistance to students<\/li>\n
• Serving as a counselor for students working with difficult courses or life challenges that may interrupt degree completion.<\/li>\n
• Facilitate written documentation upon request.<\/li>\n
• Effectively communicate institutional standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Qualifications for Mental Health Counselor <\/p>\n

  \n
  • Master's degree in Psychology – Preferred<\/li>\n
  • Must be highly organized and capable of handling multiple caseloads<\/li>\n
  • Strong English communication skills is an added advantage<\/li>\n
  • The ability to work with a diverse group of students of different ages and ethnicity<\/li>\n
  • Proven ability to work independently<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
