Position Description:<\/p>\n

Reporting directly to Finance director and working with head of Investments, the candidate will be responsible for both underwriting and due diligence of new investments, as well as asset\/portfolio management of the existing portfolio. The successful, high-potential candidate will have strong analytical skills, as well as be able to work collaboratively across various levels in the company. Strong verbal and written communications skills required to effectively convey information within the company, and with clients and investors. This person will need solid analytical skills to conduct due diligence on potential investments, as well as provide investor reporting on the existing portfolio. High visibility to and interaction with senior management, the investments team, sales brokers and international investors.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n

• Track development pipeline and underwrite and perform due diligence on potential commercial real estate investment opportunities<\/li>\n
• Assist in the preparation of investment committee memoranda, private placement offering materials and joint venture operating agreements.<\/li>\n
• Assist in the closing of investments interfacing with legal counsel, the developer, and the construction lender<\/li>\n
• Review progress of the assets to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and manage monthly investment draw request process.<\/li>\n
• Review, benchmark, and analyze asset-level financial data and keep informed of the dynamics of each investment market area to develop a strong understanding of the investments and their respective markets.<\/li>\n
• Prepare regularly recurring updates and reports on the status of investments for internal use, senior management, and investor distribution.<\/li>\n
• Review, understand and ensure compliance with legal agreements for each investment.<\/li>\n
• Potential for annual travel to different locations to inspect the investments, meet with management, and tour the market areas and competitive set of assets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
