Job Purpose:<\/strong>
Responsible for monitoring bank&rsquos compliance with laws, ministerial resolutions and applicable regulatory instructions.
Job Accountabilities:<\/strong>
Compliance Management <\/strong>
Bank wide CBK Communication & Disclosure
Help arranging, organizing and delivering responses to Central Bank of Kuwait \/ Capital Markets Authority inquiries
Perform independent assessment to the bank respective divisions \/ business functions and validate the level of compliance within the bank
Help in the execution of internal compliance review plan and obtain bank&rsquos status on compliance adherence
Conduct independent assessments of regulatory compliance of departments \/ divisions (as planned)
Ensuring the regulatory non compliances are reported to the appropriate level of management on a timely basis
Follow-up on appropriate corrective action in case of an identified compliance failure
Review new products prior to seeking Central Bank approval
Make recommendations whenever necessary in order that laws & regulations or supervisory requirements are being complied with
Build a regulatory compliance function in line with CBK & CMA requirements
Development of compliance framework for Gulf Bank
Generic <\/strong>
1. Full compliance with regulations, laws, rules, practices
2. Conducting effective independent assessments of regulatory compliance of departments \/ divisions
3. Effective compliance report:
a. Summary of compliance assessments conducted
b. Summary of all outstanding non-compliance issues
c. Annual report on the compliance activities performed
4. High quality effective advice on compliance matters to the business group
5. Effective coordination with various departments (especially finance & investment) to prepare disclosure materials to KSE & CMA
Education & Qualification:<\/strong>
Bachelor&rsquos degree in accounting, Finance.
Knowledge: <\/strong>
Good knowledge of banking industry and compliance management
Experience:<\/strong>
5 – 7 years experience in Banking industry <\/p>\n
