Principal Highway Engineer
Dubai, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Highway Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to design & manage a Highway team for developing large highway & infrastructure projects. The role will require extensive understanding of road, civil and infrastructure standards, applying best engineering practices, following Parsons high quality standards. The candidate shall have the confidence for resolving challenging geometric constraints, considering value engineering enhancements in every project aspect, able to coordinate with various internal and external departments.
What You'll Be Doing:<\/p>\n

\n
• Overseeing engineering team, leading and reviewing ongoing project work<\/li>\n
• Responsible for developing and checking engineering drawings, reports, specifications<\/li>\n
• Supporting Design Manager with engineering task assignments<\/li>\n
• Support Proposal Managers<\/li>\n
• Daily routine overview of project deliverables<\/li>\n
• Conducting engineering reviews<\/li>\n
• Developing highway schemes, checking key geometric elements<\/li>\n
• Coordinating deliverables with CAD and BIM teams<\/li>\n
• Resource management<\/li>\n
• Report writing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  What Required Skills You'll Bring:<\/p>\n

  \n
  • Degree in civil engineer<\/li>\n
  • 15+ years of experience in major highway design projects<\/li>\n
  • Excellent Design knowledge of local (UAE) and international standards<\/li>\n
  • Presentation skills<\/li>\n
  • Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n
  • Excellent report writing skills<\/li>\n
  • Excellent Design Software skills – Civil 3D , Bentley Inroads \/ Openroads<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What Desired Skills You'll Bring:<\/p>\n

    • Road Safety and BIM knowledge<\/li>\n
    • Prior experience leading a team of Design engineers<\/li>\n
    • Material specifications related to highways and civil works<\/li>\n
    • Pavement design knowledge<\/li>\n
