Civil\/Utility Inspector
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil\/Utility Inspector to join our team! In this role you will Conduct inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.
What You'll Be Doing:<\/p>\n

\n
• Inspect demolition of transportation facilities (roads, streets etc.)<\/li>\n
• Construction of roads, , and other associated improvements (curb and gutter, street, sidewalk, landscaping)<\/li>\n
• Drainage work, traffic control, compliance with SWPPP requirements<\/li>\n
• Irrigation and planting, roadway and overhead sign removal and installation.<\/li>\n
• Installation on temporary and permanent signs and delineation<\/li>\n
• Taking project photographs on a daily basis and filing them<\/li>\n
• Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations and writes daily diaries.<\/li>\n
• Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract<\/li>\n
• Performs labor compliance interviews and maintains as-built plans.<\/li>\n
• Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution.<\/li>\n
• Collects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used.<\/li>\n
• Coordinates work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing.<\/li>\n
• Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.<\/li>\n
• Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures.<\/li>\n
• Reports on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work.<\/li>\n
• Responds to the call backs in case of emergency at the project site.<\/li>\n
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  What Required Skills You'll Bring:<\/p>\n

  \n
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering<\/li>\n
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects<\/li>\n
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment<\/li>\n
  • Good communication skills in English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What Desired Skills You'll Bring:<\/p>\n

    • Prior experience working on large scale infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
