  What you will be doing:<\/p>\n

  Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: <\/p>\n

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues <\/li>\n
  • Manage all Kitchens in the absence of the Executive Chef <\/li>\n
  • Create all food menus with the guidance of the Executive Chef <\/li>\n
  • Complete daily market lists to ensure quality food ordering while maintaining budgeted costs <\/li>\n
  • Meet with Storekeepers to ensure quality & par levels are maintained <\/li>\n
  • Interact closely with the Catering department to assist in function menu co-ordination and meet with clients as required <\/li>\n
  • Conduct daily shift briefings with all Sous Chefs <\/li>\n
  • Ensure all kitchen Colleagues are aware of standards and expectations <\/li>\n
  • Liaise daily with Outlet Managers and Sous Chefs to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedback <\/li>\n
  • Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs <\/li>\n
  • Ensure proper staffing and scheduling in accordance to productivity guidelines <\/li>\n
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards <\/li>\n
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage <\/li>\n
  • Other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Your experience and skills include:<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    \n
    • Previous leadership experience in luxury hotels is a must. <\/li>\n
    • Journeyman\u2019s papers or international equivalent required <\/li>\n
    • Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset <\/li>\n
    • Proven track record of cost control including food, equipment, labor and wastage to meet the goals and the hotel\u2019s financial goals <\/li>\n
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required <\/li>\n
    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities <\/li>\n
    • Highly responsible & reliable <\/li>\n
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment <\/li>\n
    • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team <\/li>\n
    • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
