Purpose of Job:<\/p>\n

• The collection of fully representative samples from Various Plant locations and Stations as scheduled by MO Lab for routine and non-routine Analysis. Samples to be collected as per the International applicable standards.<\/li>\n
• Responsible for Preparation of Sample bottles \/ cylinders including purging \/ cleaning, Labelling and Leak check prior to take sampling on day-to-day basis.<\/li>\n
• Also responsible for replenishing carrier gas cylinders and bringing materials from store.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Duties and responsibilities<\/p>\n

  \n
  • Prepare the Sampling Containers with Labels for liquid & gas samples as per the scheduled list provided by the Senior Lab Technician.<\/li>\n
  • Using the correct sample containers and applicable sampling methods collect the samples from various plant sites \/ stations, Bring it to MO Lab for Analysis on day to day \/ shift by shift basis.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure all safety precaution while collecting and transporting the sample containers.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure that the sample should not cross contaminated or spilled while handling.<\/li>\n
  • Perform field tests like moisture, electrical conductivity, pH, CO2,H2S, etc. using portable Lab test equipment \/ apparatus.<\/li>\n
  • Cleaning, Purging, Cylinder Leak testing and drying of used sample containers on day-to-day basis \/ shift to shift basis.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain the Sample reception\/ disposal area neat and tidy, assists in housekeeping of the laboratory in order to maintain good work environment.<\/li>\n
  • Distribution of samples, after log-in, to different sections of the laboratory as per the instruction from Sr. Technician.<\/li>\n
  • Discarding of tested samples at specified locations and as per \u201cSample disposal procedure\u201d and as directed by the Senior Technician \/ laboratory supervisor.<\/li>\n
  • Transporting materials\/ containers \/ Chemicals issued from store to the laboratory and replacement of empty gas cylinders in the Laboratory Gas cylinder manifolds.<\/li>\n
  • Assist the Laboratory Technicians for upkeep of the testing utensils as part of the Good Laboratory Practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
