The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial HVAC equipment such as boilers, chillers, and light commercial units. This job requires theoretically knowledge of air conditioning and the production of chilled water, as well as practical mechanical and electrical understanding.
RMS will be performing Base Operation Support (BOS-1) to the United States Armed Forces in Kuwait, as part of the AFCAP V Contract
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n

Coordinates and performs inspections on HVAC systems and components (e.g., heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.<\/p>\n

Performs installations of HVAC equipment and systems and monitors repairs on systems and\/or components (e.g., pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.).<\/p>\n

Coordinates with HVAC Lead and\/or Trade Shop Supervisor on completing projects and work orders efficiently.<\/p>\n

Diagnoses causes of problems and\/or failures in HVAC systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and\/or systems repair and\/or replacement needs.<\/p>\n

Tracks performance of routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the availability of HVAC systems.<\/p>\n

Prepares written reports (work order status, activity logs, etc.) for documenting activities and\/or conveying information.<\/p>\n

Requests equipment and supplies to maintain correct inventory amounts and ensure availability of items required to complete installations and\/or repairs.<\/p>\n

Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.<\/p>\n

Performs other duties as requested.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n

High School diploma or GED.<\/p>\n

Must have at least five (5) years' journey-level HVAC experience.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n

Valid Driver\u2019s License and be able to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.<\/p>\n

Must have a Valid US Passport.<\/p>\n

Completion of HVAC apprenticeship is required.<\/p>\n

Must have a valid driver\u2019s license CFC\/HFC certification.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:<\/p>\n

Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools common to trade.<\/p>\n

Ability to interpret and apply codes, blueprints, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings is required.<\/p>\n

Must have knowledge of operation \/ installation of a variety of complete HVAC systems \/ equipment.
TRAVEL:
100%, in deployed location.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
