Work opportunities are shrinking, with most households now reporting just one day of work per week. This comes on top of the worst drought in years, which is especially concerning for the 85 percent of the population who rely on agriculture for livelihoods.<\/p>\n<p>Preventing and mitigating a drastic increase in hunger and malnutrition is the aim of WFP in Afghanistan which can only be achieved through the scaled up and sustained complementary food security and nutrition interventions, combined with a scale-up of resilience interventions to safeguard gains. WFP has embarked on a significant month on month scale-up of its crisis response and resilience programmes across the country, ensuring that the programme is delivered at the right scale and time, targeted to the right areas. WFP is also actively following up on evolving trends to pre-empt hotspots, while guaranteeing quality and maximum impact of the programme through the monitoring of these hotspots to be able to support continued donor advocacy.<\/p>\n<h2>JOB PURPOSE<\/h2>\n<p>To perform specialized and\/or standardized policy and programme-related processes and activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages.<\/p>\n<h2>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES <\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Perform specialized and\/or standardised processes and activities within the specific technical area of work supporting alignment with wider programme policies and guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Provide project management and\/or general office support following established targets and WFP\u2019s policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Within the specific area of responsibility, compile data and support analysis and preparation of reports (e.g. food assistance needs, resource utilization, programme status, performance) in order to support operational decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Perform accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work (e.g. food security and vulnerability assessments) following corporate standards  and guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Work and exchange information with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.<\/li>\n<li>Support communication and activities with local partners, agencies, NGOs and government institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a point of contact for resolution of general operational queries requesting assistance where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP is able to quickly respond and deploy needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/h2>\n<p>Education:    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completion of bachelor\u2019s in business administration focused. Bachelor\u2019s in business administration mainly focused on client\/customer services management or in other related functional area is desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience:    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in client\/customer services functions including previous experience with an international organisation. Work experience with a UN or other International Organization\u2019s call centre would be an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in providing technical business support for programme.<\/li>\n<li>Applied knowledge of Programme, multi-tasking in at least two languages inter-changeably.<\/li>\n<li>Solid knowledge of WFP and relevant partner activities, procedures, and processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Knowledge &amp; Skills:    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a professional manner while meeting targets in a high-pressure environment.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management and language skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Languages:    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oral and written working knowledge of English.
