Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director to join our team! In this role you will get to plan, direct, supervises, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
What You'll Be Doing:<\/p>\n

\n
• Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected suppliers during the program execution.<\/li>\n
• Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client.<\/li>\n
• Assists business development in understanding client issues and business plans in order to market and secure new\/additional work.<\/li>\n
• Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the program, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.<\/li>\n
• Promotes technical excellence on the program, including furtherance of the Quality Improvement Process.<\/li>\n
• Mobilizes Company resources, through effective liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.<\/li>\n
• Works with individual project managers to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of a project.<\/li>\n
• Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.<\/li>\n
• Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.<\/li>\n
• Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.<\/li>\n
• Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.<\/li>\n
• Works with individual project managers to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.<\/li>\n
• Advises the client and Company management of any such changes.<\/li>\n
• May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.<\/li>\n
• Oversees establishment of Work Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance\/Quality Control Plan and other documents for hazardous waste work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  What Required Skills You'll Bring:<\/p>\n

  \n
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution<\/li>\n
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in construction supervision with 8 years experience in the UAE<\/li>\n
  • Experience in the construction of large scale infrastructure projects specifically bridges is required<\/li>\n
  • Prior experience must include significant project experience and successful project management<\/li>\n
  • Requires extensive knowledge of construction related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What Desired Skills You'll Bring:<\/p>\n

    • Prior experience working in Airports construction projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
