The Strategy <br \/>envisions that, \u201cBy 2030, people will have substantially increased access to national social protection <br \/>systems that safeguard and foster their ability to meet their food security, nutrition and associated <br \/>essential needs, and to manage the risks and shocks they face\u201d. WFP supports social protection systems <br \/>through increasing their ability to contribute to food security and nutrition and respond to risks and <br \/>shocks. However, WFP\u2019s engagement in social protection remains inadequately documented and <br \/>publicized. Furthermore, the internal and external highlighting and positioning of WFP\u2019s vast social <br \/>protection knowledge remains ad hoc and opportunistic.<\/p>\n<h2>JOB PURPOSE<\/h2>\n<p>The Advocacy and Communication Consultant for Social Protection will be hired by PROS Social <br \/>Protection Unit and will be based in the CAM team under the guidance of the Head of the Global <br \/>Advocacy unit, closely and supported by Social Protection Unit (PRO-S), Global Knowledge and <br \/>Learning Manager. The consultant will coordinate its work with both CAM and PRO-S teams to plan <br \/>and ensure the operational implementation of advocacy and communications plans and activities for <br \/>PRO-S. The consultant is expected to provide high quality project implementation, ensuring accurate, <br \/>timely and properly CAM service delivery in line with WFP\u2019s approved narratives and CAM guidelines.<\/p>\n<h2>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)<\/h2>\n<p>1. Designs, plans and carries out Communications Advocacy and Marketing Strategies for PRO-S <br \/>aligned with WFP\u2019s Narratives and Partnerships and Advocacy goals. <br \/>2. Act as a Focal Point for communication strategy delivery between CAM and PRO-S with special <br \/>emphasis on communicating project results and lessons learned.<br \/>3. Integrates communications and advocacy tools, methods, and goals for social protection.<br \/>4. Assurance of effective and efficient implementation of CAM approved Strategies and activities, <br \/>resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.<br \/>5. Cooperate with other Divisions to engage with the different CAM Units (Digital, Creative Studio <br \/>Media, Marketing, etc.) and OED to maximize impact, ensure quality control, reduce <br \/>reputational risk and comply with WFP\u2019s narratives and guidelines (CAM approved <br \/>Communications project\u2019s implementation, CAM guidelines, CAM monitoring and evaluation <br \/>etc.).<br \/>6. Increase social protection\u2019s internal visibility and communicate the rationale behind and the <br \/>impact of WFP\u2019s engagement in social protection<br \/>7. Create cross-functional linkages between PRO-S and social protection instruments in CBT, FFA, <br \/>EME and SF<br \/>8. Integrate social protection into the Organizational Changing Lives Agenda<br \/>9. Highlight links and synergies between social protection and the Saving Lives Agenda<br \/>10. Liaise with Implementing Partners and 3rd party Vendors on CAM project assurance.<br \/>11. Ensures that Implementing Partners and 3rd party Vendors of CAM Strategies and activities are <br \/>in compliance with WFP\u2019s Narratives rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>12. Identify key external events of relevance to position and communicate WFP\u2019s work and agenda <br \/>in social protection for governments (in support of priority COs), key donors and strategic <br \/>partners (in support of PPR) utilizing the assets curated in the Trello board.<br \/>13. Identifies needs and leads the facilitation of meetings and collaborations between CAM and <br \/>PRO-S personnel.<br \/>14. Synthesis of lessons learnt and best practices.<br \/>15. Compile common myths around social protection and create a myth-busting campaign <br \/>16. Sound contributions to knowledge and CAM networks and communities of practice, in particular <br \/>the social protection one in Yammer.<br \/>17.
