Role Objectives:
We are seeking to hire a skilled and highly capable professional with strong research, writing, and stakeholder management skills to join our team. The Proposal Writer is deeply engaged in both the technical and financial aspects of writing and securing grants. He\/she will be responsible for identifying appropriate funding opportunities and liaising with internal and\/or external stakeholders to design projects, draft proposals, and develop budgets.
The principal duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited:
\u00b7 Developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations, persuasively communicating the organization\u2019s mission and programs to potential funders.
\u00b7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, technical details, and insights necessary for creating grant proposals.
\u00b7 Assembling and submitting grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and Presentations.
\u00b7 Establishing and maintaining personal contact and relationships with foundation contacts and program officers.
\u00b7 Maintaining calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports.
\u00b7 Conducting prospect research.
\u00b7 Prioritizing projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meeting deadlines and managing supplemental material required for proposals.
\u00b7 Providing writing support for major donor and individual contribution letters and Acknowledgement.
Education & Experience:
\u00b7 Bachelor's degree in in Economics, Business Administration, or any relevant field.
\u00b7 4 – 6 years of experience in fundraising & proposal writing.
Skills & Competencies:
\u00b7 Native English speaker
\u00b7 Proven experience in technical proposal writing, preferably in a grants-focused context.
\u00b7 Excellent writing, analytical, and research skills.
\u00b7 Creative and capable of generating new ideas or suggestions.
\u00b7 Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail.
\u00b7 Management skills
\u00b7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\u00b7 The ability to work under pressure.
\u00b7 Follow-up and monitoring skills.<\/p>\n
