Position Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEF seeks a consultant to support the engagement of youth business mentor network groups at local hubs through the provision of business and technical guidance \u2013 focused on business growth and sustainability – to local microenterprises. The consultant will play a critical role in empowering youth groups to promote economic opportunities for young people. By providing tailored training, mentorship, and support, the consultant will foster a sense of agency and self-reliance among the youth, ultimately contributing to improved access to economic opportunities.<\/p>\n

Tasks and responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
1. Needs Assessment: Conduct a thorough needs assessment to understand the current skills, capacities, and challenges faced by the youth groups in relation to accessing economic opportunities. This assessment will provide a baseline for designing targeted capacity-building interventions. (5 days)<\/li>\n
2. Designing Training Programs: Develop customized training programs that align with the specific needs identified during the needs assessment. The training should focus on enhancing skills to enable them to plan, implement, and evaluate their initiatives effectively. This includes training in setting goals, developing action plans, monitoring progress, and measuring outcomes. (3 days)<\/li>\n
3. Facilitating Workshops and Training Sessions: Deliver the training programs through interactive workshops and training sessions. These sessions should be engaging, participatory, and tailored to the learning needs of the youth groups. (12 days) <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

   Duration: 20 days<\/strong><\/p>\n

   Qualifications and Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

   The successful Consultant must be a self-directed individual with the following qualifications:<\/p>\n

   • Extensive experience in designing and implementing economic empowerment programs for youth.<\/li>\n
   • Demonstrated expertise in entrepreneurship, skill development, and job creation.<\/li>\n
   • Knowledge of youth development issues and best practices in the field of economic empowerment.<\/li>\n
   • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to engage effectively with program participants and stakeholders.<\/li>\n
   • A track record of producing high-quality reports and deliverables<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
