We welcome<br \/>diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills so that we can be stronger and have long term impact.<br \/><strong>The Program \/ Department \/ Team<\/strong><br \/>Mercy Corps and Axiom International will implement a 24-month program \u201cInclusive Security and<br \/>Resilient Youth Project \u2013 ISRY,&#039;&#039; a community-based development program supporting at-risk youth in<br \/>Jordan between the ages of 15 to 30. ISRY will adopt a positive youth development approach to<br \/>psychosocial support interventions to promote learning; increase stability through co-existence and<br \/>inclusive security and build the psychosocial resiliency of youth and their families. Mercy Corps, in close<br \/>coordination with Axiom, will create connections between youth and Public Security actors through<br \/>engagement in Nature-based activities and community-based activities. In close collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Ministry of Social Development, the program will identify three local community- action hubs- CAHs in the north, center, and south of Jordan &#8211; to establish Community Action Hubs that provide youth with a safe space to improve social stability and ultimately make youth and their communities more resilient. Additionally, the program will seek to strengthen the CAHs\u2019 institutional capacities to sustain long-term impact The project will place additional focus on the national level to strengthen the role of women and youth representation in the Youth Peace and Security &#8211; YPS 2250 -coalition in Jordan, through close collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Position<\/strong><br \/>The Training Coordinator provides overall support to the respective PSS specialist and capacity-building<br \/>team leader; to ensure the successful delivery of community-based MHPSS interventions under the ISRY<br \/>project. S\/he will have overall responsibility for leading the development, implementation, and training of<br \/>the Psychosocial Support Programming based on the Profound Stress &amp; Attunement framework. The<br \/>assigned person will make these efforts possible through leading PSS relevant research; guiding the<br \/>training team; organizing and supervising training plans; implementing training workshops.<\/p>\n<p>Through the documentation and reporting of learning the training coordinator shall provide an advisory<br \/>role to the training officers, work directly with the area coordinator and officers, and other technical units<br \/>to contribute to the future growth of the program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities<br \/>OPERATIONAL PSS &amp; CAPACITY BUILDING:<\/strong><br \/>1. Provide technical support throughout the project\u2019s cycle (situation analysis, planning,<br \/>implementation, and evaluation) with a particular focus on the development and implementation<br \/>of the project\u2019s capacity-building activities in close coordination with different projects\u2019 functions.<br \/>2. Contribute to the capacity building of the MHPSS pieces of training and youth session plans and<br \/>provides day-to-day coaching and mentoring to the training officers.<br \/>3. Provide capacity building and knowledge sharing to ISRY team members in MC and partner<br \/>CAH personnel to ensure the delivery of youth activities in communities\/CAHs that adhere to<br \/>project overall goals.<br \/>4. Support other functions in the delivery of the training plans provided to community coaches and<br \/>other local governmental actors who are directly working or contributing to the projects\u2019<br \/>objectives.<br \/>5. Perform other duties as assigned in the implementation of program activities.<br \/>6. Supervise MC training officers through structured learning circles, and one on one meetings in<br \/>coordination with the ISRY team leader.<br \/><strong>TOOLS AND MANUAL DEVELOPMENT:<\/strong><br \/>7. Contribute and provide technical input during the design of the projects\u2019 activities in close<br \/>coordination with all PSS and Capacity Building team members.<br \/>8. Develop the capacity-building plan of the project and implement refresher workshops and learning<br \/>circles to support community coaches in partners CAHs, as well as develop and adapt strategies<br \/>to help them address challenges and behaviors that are faced during the implementation.<br \/>9. Prepare and design the foundation training of the project and conduct direct facilitation for the<br \/>project\u2019s partners.<br \/>10. Ensure quality of participant programming and training delivery through contributing to the content<br \/>development, overseeing the delivery, scheduling, and providing the necessary support.<br \/>11. Support quality assurance through review results of training programs evaluations, attendance,<br \/>and training data, and recommend necessary actions to maintain the quality of the project\u2019s<br \/>activities in close coordination with all PSS and Capacity Building team members.<br \/>12. Leading the implementation of training programs targeting governmental entities and civil-society<br \/>organizations implementing Youth and Family Support Programming. This includes coaches and<br \/>mentors from organizations who are often non-teachers and aim at improving their creative<br \/>facilitation skills of workshops and community activities in line with the PSA framework. As well<br \/>as supporting instructors to develop further behavior strategies and attunement skills that enable<br \/>young people and their caregivers to build their positive stress coping strategies.<br \/>13. Oversight and provide technical guidance to ISRY training officers and area officers, CAHs teams,<br \/>coaches, and host communities on regular basis. This includes the development of weekly and<br \/>monthly progress reports that highlight challenges and required actions to ensure successful<br \/>implementation of the training work plan and associated activities.<\/p>\n<p>14. Conduct himself\/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to<br \/>Mercy Corps and not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.<br \/>15. Other relevant duties as assigned.<br \/><strong>PEOPLE (Team MANAGEMENT):<\/strong><br \/>16. Effectively manage the ISRY Capacity-building team, and coordinate the day-to-day activities<br \/>including capacity building, planning, intervention methods, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting.<br \/>17. Ensure the implementation level are monitored and coordinated properly based on the needs of<br \/>each location. And that the mechanisms are designed to be later sustained and owned by the<br \/>CAH partners.<br \/>18. Conduct monitoring of CAH personnel engaged in MHPSS activities, including sampling cases<br \/>and checking cases are managed as per relevant psychosocial service provision protocols,<br \/>assuring fidelity of MHPSS interventions.<br \/>19. Manage CAH activities and training team, ensure there is adequate coverage during periods of<br \/>absence, training needs are met, and performance evaluated.<br \/>20. Community Collaboration and Capacity-building: Provide training and coordination with other<br \/>organizations to promote network development and to better address the needs of youth and their<br \/>families.<br \/>21. Project Evaluation: Track and ensure project objectives are met.
