We are looking for an Cargo Agent to join the Aviation Handling Services – Queen Alia International Airport possess the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:
\u00b7 Coordinate and oversee the shipment of cargo from origin to destination, ensuring compliance with shipping procedures, documentation requirements, and customs regulations.
\u00b7 Utilize transportation management systems and tracking software to monitor and track the movement of cargo.
\u00b7 Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and export\/import documentation, with a high level of accuracy.
\u00b7 Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and other stakeholders to arrange and schedule shipments, resolve issues, and provide updates on shipment status.
\u00b7 Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient cargo handling, loading, and unloading.
\u00b7 Conduct regular inspections of cargo to ensure proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
\u00b7 Handle any issues or delays in transportation, customs clearance, or delivery promptly and effectively.
\u00b7 Maintain accurate records and documentation of all cargo-related activities and transactions.
\u00b7 Stay up to date with the latest shipping regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
\u00b7 Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
Requirements:
\u00b7 Previous experience as a cargo agent or in a similar role is preferred.
\u00b7 Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and customs regulations.
\u00b7 Familiarity with transportation management systems and tracking software.
\u00b7 Excellent organizational and time management skills.
\u00b7 Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cargo and preparing documentation.
\u00b7 Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
\u00b7 Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
\u00b7 Flexibility to work on a shift basis.
\u00b7 BA degree in any field degree but in the IT section is preferred.
