Mercy Corps\u2019 current portfolio in<br \/>Jordan focuses on three domains: resilient individuals, strong communities and governance, and environmentally<br \/>sustainable and inclusive economic growth. Mercy Corps integrates crosscutting themes of youth, gender equality<br \/>and empowerment, governance, natural resource management and technology.<br \/><strong>The Program \/ Department \/ Team<\/strong><br \/>USAID Informal Livelihoods Advancement Activity (Iqlaa) is a five-year USAID-funded program that aims to<br \/>support Jordan&#039;s home-based businesses (HBBs) and Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) to grow, transform, and<br \/>become resilient to future shocks. HBBs and MSEs are essential drivers of employment and economic stability in<br \/>Jordan. Micro and small enterprises represent 98 percent of all businesses in Jordan and compose half of the<br \/>country\u2019s private sector employment. Therefore, the Iqlaa approach places formal and informal Jordanian HBBs<br \/>and MSEs on a path to recovery, stabilization, and growth, focusing on four critical sectors: agriculture, tourism,<br \/>manufacturing, and services, with special attention to technology development and implementation.<br \/>Iqlaa works to implement best practices in crisis response, enterprise strengthening, inclusive job creation, and<br \/>financial sector development within a market-systems development (MSD) framework and leveraging innovative<br \/>behavioral change methodologies to facilitate long-term, sustainable changes in the behaviors or stakeholders and<br \/>beneficiaries that align better with the current needs of Jordan\u2019s MSEs. Iqlaa will offer bundled support through<br \/>technical assistance and grants. The program will work with market sector actors to offer five main grants:<br \/>formalization, start-up funding, business Growth, innovation &amp; Scale, and technology Integration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Position Summary<\/strong><br \/>The Collaboration, Learning, and Adaptation (CLA) intern will provide essential support to the Program<br \/>Quality and Learning (PQL) team in capturing documented lessons learned, developing learning product<br \/>visualizations, and assisting with data analysis. This position requires strong research skills, proficiency<br \/>in data visualization and infographic creation, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff members.<br \/>This internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience<br \/>in the field of collaboration, learning, and adaptation. The intern will have the chance to contribute to the<br \/>CLA efforts for Iqlaa activity and work alongside experienced professionals in the field.<br \/><strong>The intern will gain the following skills by the end of the assignment:<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Develop strong research skills by assisting the PQL team in conducting comprehensive literature<br \/>reviews.<br \/>\u2022 Enhance data analysis skills by supporting staff members in analyzing data from various sources.<br \/>\u2022 Showcase creativity and visual communication skills by developing visually appealing and<br \/>informative learning product visualizations.<br \/>\u2022 Create infographics to visually represent data and highlight key trends and patterns.<br \/>\u2022 Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the CLA approach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Assist the program quality and learning team in conducting comprehensive literature reviews to<br \/>capture documented lessons learned.<br \/>\u2022 Extract recommendations based on key findings from literature reviews.<br \/>\u2022 Analyze and synthesize relevant information from various sources to identify key insights and best<br \/>practices.<br \/>\u2022 Assist the program quality and learning team in collecting the primary data through surveys and<br \/>interviews.<br \/>\u2022 Develop learning product visualizations: Utilize data and information gathered from literature<br \/>reviews, learning briefs, and other sources to create visually appealing and informative learning<br \/>product visualizations.<br \/>\u2022 Support staff members in analyzing data collected from various sources.<br \/>\u2022 Create infographics to visually represent data and highlight key trends and patterns.<br \/>\u2022 Write transcriptions and notes during the focus group discussions and interviews.<br \/>\u2022 Any other duties as may be assigned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accountability<\/strong><br \/>Reports Directly To: The Collaboration, Learning, and Adaptation (CLA) Manager.<\/p>\n<p>Works Directly With: The CLA Officer, the Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Coordinator, MEL<br \/>Assistants, and MEL officers.<br \/><strong>Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders<\/strong><br \/>Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program<br \/>participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and<br \/>development work.
