The Accountant is responsible for minimizing costs, managing the day-to-day operation and calculating costs of food and beverage & Handicrafts items. Record information and produce control \u200e<\/strong>reports periodically to help maintain a suitable inventory of items.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
• Prepares and analyzes food and beverage and Handicrafts costs on a monthly basis and recommends alternatives to improve costs.<\/li>\n
• Assists in changing price menus or changes the prices of certain items based on the information collected.<\/li>\n
• Assists in the monthly inventories count and extension.<\/li>\n
• Establishes and maintains a database for inventory stock including up-to-date pricing.<\/li>\n
• Ensures proper storage and issuance of all items.<\/li>\n
• Costs all food and beverage & Handicrafts items and where practical, input these costs into the point of sales system and generates monthly potential cost of sales.<\/li>\n
• Maintain a daily record of inventory purchased for every chart of account and ensure \u200e<\/strong>it is balance with account payable. \u200e<\/strong><\/li>\n
• Check invoices against receiving record and compare them with purchase order and \u200e<\/strong>purchase request, and to ensure that all invoices are stamped and signed by the \u200e<\/strong>authorized person. \u200e<\/strong><\/li>\n
• Check and ensure that all inventories purchased are in balance with account payable \u200e<\/strong>on a bi-monthly basis. \u200e<\/strong><\/li>\n
• Ensure that purchasing obtain up\u2013to\u2013date and accurate prices by comparing \u200e<\/strong>prices against suppliers\u2019 quotations. \u200e<\/strong><\/li>\n
• Audit monthly stock and prepare reconciliation on all stockrooms. \u200e<\/strong><\/li>\n
• Post actual stock results in the system and print inventory valuation report. \u200e<\/strong><\/li>\n
• Price Analysis and competitive analysis for all sections of the F&B with the support of Procurement department.<\/li>\n
• Weekly\/ Monthly\/ Quarterly Reports for all Social Enterprises.<\/li>\n
• Invoicing for all Social Enterprises<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

  \n
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance or other related field<\/li>\n
  • Relevant certification will be preferred.<\/li>\n
  • Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken)<\/li>\n
  • 3-5 years of Experience.<\/li>\n
  • Solid experience in F&B industry in a similar position<\/li>\n
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end\/year-end close process<\/li>\n
  • Hands-on experience with F&B software\u2019s<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
