Job Purpose:<\/p>\n

The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for Full-Cycle Accounts Payable processing including examining, verifying, and reconciling a variety of transactions. Daily matching and posting vendor invoices in accounting software.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n

1. Ensure accurate and timely invoice processing and vendor payments. <\/li>\n
2. Ensure compliance with the AP policies and guidelines on invoice processing. <\/li>\n
3. Maintain AP files & records such as invoice copies, contracts, Credit Card statements, and any other documents related to month-end closing procedures.<\/li>\n
4. Support with the execution of miscellaneous AP operations such as Vendor Aging analysis, VAT recording, etc.\u2026<\/li>\n
5. Support the Procurement dept on the vendor management process to ensure the completeness and correctness of vendor data.<\/li>\n
6. Execute Virtual Card reconciliation and monitor any requirements related to virtual cards<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

   Job Details:<\/p>\n

   \n
   • Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices by setting them up for weekly payment runs. <\/li>\n
   • Research, resolve, and communicate discrepancies or outstanding balances on vendor accounts, including telephone, mail, or email correspondence.<\/li>\n
   • Manage PO system approvals process.<\/li>\n
   • Reconciles monthly vendor statements.<\/li>\n
   • Implements and maintains systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.<\/li>\n
   • Manages monthly closing of AP records. <\/li>\n
   • Maintains AP files and month-end files. <\/li>\n
   • Monthly Credit card statements, reconciliations and monthly postings.<\/li>\n
   • Perform any other related duties and assignments as required.<\/li>\n
   • Ensure correct VAT coding for all invoices.<\/li>\n
   • AP Aging reports and analysis.<\/li>\n
   • Prepare payment checks and vouchers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     Other Job Notes or Needs: This person will be reporting and working for Alef HQ in UAE but working from the Jordan office.<\/p>\n

     Education and Required Experience<\/p>\n

     \n
     • Educational degree(s): Bachelor\u2019s in accounting \u2013 Core accounting subjects.<\/li>\n
     • Certification(s)\/Licenses: ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA, CMA is preferred<\/li>\n
     • Years of experience: minimum of 3 years experience<\/li>\n
     • Regional experience: UAE experience preferred.<\/li>\n
     • Industry experience: Education & Technology experience is preferred.<\/li>\n
     • Languages: English<\/li>\n
     • Technical competencies: MS Office is required, Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.<\/li>\n
     • Behavioral competencies: Communication skills, Attention to details<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
