Job Purpose <\/p>\n

• Responsible for overseeing the automatic welding equipment during offshore pipeline installation campaigns and the supervision of automatic welding electro-mechanical and electronic technicians <\/li>\n
• In charge of mobilizing, installing, maintaining and repairing of Automatic Welding Equipment on offshore barges\/ vessels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Principal Accountabilities<\/p>\n

  • Supervise automatic welding technical team to ensure uninterrupted operation of automatic welding equipment during pipelines installation offshore <\/li>\n
  • Identify job requirements for personnel and equipment during offshore mobilization <\/li>\n
  • Provide required training to the personnel to ensure fast and confident troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of automatic welding equipment in accordance with manufacturer\u2019s recommendations on offshore barges\/ vessels <\/li>\n
  • Maintain the required level of automatic welding spares and consumables on board of offshore barges\/ vessels during pipeline installation campaigns <\/li>\n
  • Maintain and optimize automatic welding production to improve installation rates and reduce cost of operation <\/li>\n
  • Investigate and minimize weld repairs, and apply corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted installation of offshore pipelines <\/li>\n
  • Communicate with onshore operational team for quires related to welding engineering, offshore operation, supply and logistics<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate with welding inspectors and third party NDT personnel, client, and inspection team to maintain required level of quality, mitigate weld repairs and provide contribution to Clients satisfaction <\/li>\n
  • Conduct toolbox and safety meetings with automatic welding technical personnel for implementation of NPCC\/ Client\u2019s HSE safety procedures and to provide safe working environment on board of offshore pipelay barges\/ vessels <\/li>\n
  • Monitor the compliance with automatic welding related Welding Procedures, Client Specification\/ International Standard and QA\/QC procedures <\/li>\n
  • Compliance in accordance with section\/Company policies & procedures, Policy of Integrity & Code of Conduct & HSE standards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Secondary (10 years schooling) & a discipline-specific technical diploma with 6 years of relevant experience OR Secondary (10 years schooling) with 9 years of relevant experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Solid knowledge of automatic pipeline welding equipment <\/li>\n
      • Understanding and experience of work with mechanized P-GMAW and STT processes in 5G downhill position <\/li>\n
      • Experience of work with internal line up clamps and pipe facing machines (setting and maintaining) <\/li>\n
      • Technical knowledge in welding processes such as GTAW, SMAW, and FCAW for repair welding application <\/li>\n
      • Ability to read and understand welding procedure specification <\/li>\n
      • Working knowledge of welding codes such as AP1 1104, DNV OS-F 101, and BS 4515<\/li>\n
      • Good standard of written and spoken English <\/li>\n
      • Computer Literacy \u2013 Microsoft Office <\/li>\n
      • All offshore safety training requirements <\/li>\n
