Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Responsible for the design and development of all course materials and learning resources in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support the unique teaching and learning of young learners;<\/li>\n
2. \u2022 Develops instructional strategies and assessment techniques for the appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices in collaboration with Cisco and our community partners; <\/li>\n
3. \u2022 Researches and makes recommendations on educational best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware\/software to support the teaching and learning requirements as set forth by all stakeholders;<\/li>\n
4. \u2022 Responsible for maintaining student records and compliance with the Department of Labor accountability standards for the grant;<\/li>\n
5. \u2022 Implements and coordinates the Cisco Academy at Galveston College from inception to completion;<\/li>\n
6. \u2022 As a Licensed Cisco trainer, serves as a liaison with Cisco on behalf of the Cisco Networking Academy at Galveston College;<\/li>\n
7. \u2022 Ensures compliance with current requirements put forth by Cisco and community partners, including attending workshops, conferences, and training;<\/li>\n
8. \u2022 Responsible for any match reporting on grants, and compliance documentation supporting work related grant, to community partners, and\/or auditors;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

   SKILLS AND ABILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

   1. Willing and able to teach day or evening classes at a number of sites around the city;<\/li>\n
   2. Knowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software;<\/li>\n
   3. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse professional, community and student population;<\/li>\n
   4. Possess good organizational and planning skills;<\/li>\n
   5. Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities;<\/li>\n
   6. Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning-centered environment; and<\/li>\n
   7. Self-disciplined and able to effectively manage others. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Education Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \u00b7 Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in the Information Technology or required field<\/p>\n

      \u00b7 Master's Degree preferred.<\/p>\n

      \u00b7 Must be approved as a CISCO Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI).<\/p>\n

      Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \u00b7 5+ years' in the field with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining operating systems<\/p>\n

      \u00b7 2+ years' experience developing technology curriculums<\/p>\n

      \u00b7 5+ years of instructional experience in teaching and similar field<\/p>\n
