Delivering a coherent, balanced, integrated, inquiry-based program and preparing students for international programs in a stimulating, challenging and well-organized learning environment, collaborating with other teachers to contribute students\u2019 success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roles &amp; responsibilities <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a subject expert<\/li>\n<li>Plan authentic units that allow students to actively apply their knowledge and skills towards solving local and global issues.<\/li>\n<li>Enable students to exercise choice, develop goals, plan their approach and work independently<\/li>\n<li>Designing, preparing and delivering a high-quality curriculum within the IB framework to suit the individual needs of all students<\/li>\n<li>Develop a holistic overview, that ensures students build on their prior learning experiences<\/li>\n<li>Design, test and supervise laboratory experiments relevant to the current lessons being taught in class<\/li>\n<li>Ensure students understand and follow all safety rules for laboratory experiments and are aware of the proper actions to take during accidents and emergencies<\/li>\n<li>Assign and evaluate all coursework, submit grades and maintain contact with parents regarding student performance<\/li>\n<li>Create course materials such as booklets, handouts and homework assignments<\/li>\n<li>Creating appropriate learning experience and extra-curricular activities (field work, learning engagements, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students.<\/li>\n<li>Motivating students to perform at their best through differentiated instructions and using varieties of styles.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the enrichment of learning engagements.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring students\u2019 performance to enhance their understanding and master skills.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring students\u2019 progress through effective assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Take part in the standardization of all types of assessments within the subject group\u202f <\/li>\n<li>Communicating regularly and constructively with students<\/li>\n<li>Using teaching methods engaging students, stimulating intellectual curiosity including the use of effective questioning, presentation and resources.<\/li>\n<li>Setting high expectations for student\u2019s behavior, establishing and maintaining a good standard of behavior management through well focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the well-being department<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with other teachers to contribute students\u2019 success.<\/li>\n<li>Teaching related classes, per the full time teaching load specified by the MoE instructions<\/li>\n<li>Having the ability and willingness for online and\/or in a hybrid context teaching and learning, as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Nurturing meaningful relationships with students and providing the individual attention they need<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining records of students&#039; work and progress through learning and to coordinate with the YCs<\/li>\n<li>Working as a member of a team, positively contributing to effective working relations within the school<\/li>\n<li>Attending school events<\/li>\n<li>Taking on the responsibilities of a Year Coordinator or a Homeroom teacher upon request (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Communicating, where necessary with parents and external bodies, following school policies<\/li>\n<li>Proper use of school\u2019s platforms<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the YCs, area leaders, AlKashef Center and the well-being department<\/li>\n<li>Morning duties and during breaks<\/li>\n<li>Replacing absent teachers when needed<\/li>\n<li>Implement school policies, mission and vision<\/li>\n<li>Attending departments regular meetings <\/li>\n<li>Attending school workshops and conferences<\/li>\n<li>Attending IB authorized training and staying current with all relevant changes to the IB guide<\/li>\n<li>Share best practices with team members<\/li>\n<li>Share gained knowledge and skills after attending IB workshops and conferences with the team members<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out any other duties or responsibilities requested by the principal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job requirements:  <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor and\/or Master degree in relevant subject<\/li>\n<li>IB experience and training is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills at a level that permits creative use of technology in the classroom<\/li>\n<li>Good communication &amp; Presentation skills and ability to speak in public in confidence.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate professionalism, commitment, integrity, strength of character and perseverance<\/li>\n<li>Committed to ensuring high standards of teaching and learning<\/li>\n<li>Able to prepare reports, worksheets and deliver oral presentations<\/li>\n<li>Excellent planning, coordinating, organizing and analyzing abilities are essential<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with teachers at all levels in a multicultural environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates ongoing learning by continuously partaking in professional development opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Good team spirit and patience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure &amp;
