He\/she ensures high quality and time-effective development of project proposals and he\/she contributes to the fundraising of the program.<\/p>\n He\/she will be responsible for the following:<\/p>\n -Ensuring the high quality and time-effective development of project proposals \u2013 of the funding opportunities identified in liaison with the RGD – and in collaboration with key contributors;<\/p>\n -Support the program in implementing its fundraising strategy<\/p>\n Reports to: Regional Technical Unit Manager; daily coordination and functional management delegated to the Regional Grants Developer (RGD)<\/strong><\/p>\n Interacts with: Country\/Deputy\/Area Managers, Project Managers, Regional and National Specialists in addition to the RTUM, Regional and national Finance\/HR\/Logistics\/MEAL managers<\/strong><\/p>\n Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Responsibility 1: Proposals development<\/strong><\/p>\n Objective: 1. Ensure high quality and time-effective proposals development for fundraising (of the funding opportunities identified in liaison with the RGD)<\/strong><\/p>\n Activities: In liaison with the RGD, she\/he contributes to and\/or is responsible for the following activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Coordinate with the RGD, HQ, and NAs for NOFO guidance and donor pre-requisites;<\/li>\n Plan and coordinate the proposal development process: manage the retro-planning for submission including ARCI and coordination with external stakeholders (HQ and National Associations – NAs), clarify and support compliance to donors\u2019 requirements, facilitate kick-off meetings, ensure time-effectiveness and respect of submission deadline;<\/li>\n Ensure coherence between operational aspects, MEAL, technical approaches, and budgeting;<\/li>\n Provide guidance\/support to the writing of projects\u2019 proposal narratives, ensuring compliance to donors\u2019 instructions, priorities, and specificities;<\/li>\n Guarantee the final quality of the projects\u2019 proposal narratives, both in terms of content and formalization;<\/li>\n Guarantee the completeness and final compliance of the proposal package submissions to the call for proposals\u2019 guidelines and donors\u2019 requirements;<\/li>\n If proposals are approved, follow up on the contractual issues with related HI actors and establish the donors\u2019 sheet.<\/li>\n Support the RGD in identifying appropriate\/competitive teaming arrangements (consortiums, multi-country projects) and conducting\/undertaking due diligence processes;<\/li>\n For consortiums, support the RGD in managing coordination, communication, and inputs from subs during project development;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Responsibility 2: Support to fundraising<\/strong><\/p>\n Objective: Support missions\u2019 fundraising strategies<\/strong><\/p>\n Activities: In liaison with the RGD, she\/he contributes for the following activities<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Contribute to supporting the RD and CMs in the plan for fundraising (Compass);<\/li>\n Participate in the Operational Monthly Follow-up meetings and contribute to managing and updating the MEReP proposal follow-up\/funding opportunities matrix;<\/li>\n Support the discussion with donors in coordination with CMs and PD when necessary or to develop new opportunities;<\/li>\n Liaise with NAs and for all issues related to donors relations and communication (general communication or networking);<\/li>\n Maintain HI\u2019 accounts on institutional portals (HRP, OCHA, UNICEF, etc) up to date;<\/li>\n Produce external material (factsheets, leaflet, capacity statement, etc).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Confidentiality is required in all these responsibilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n Others<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Confidentiality is required in all these responsibilities.<\/strong><\/li>\n Movements to the field are requested upon request<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE will have:<\/p>\n \n Advanced degree in Social Studies or related domain.<\/li>\n Minimum 6 years\u2019 experience in international development and\/or emergency and post-crisis environments.<\/li>\n Minimum 4 years\u2019 experience in grants development (compulsory to have solid past experience in developing project proposals and not managing grants).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Preferable:<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Preferably a master in Social Studies or related domain.<\/li>\n Experience in working with INGOs.<\/li>\n Regional experience in the Middle East.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Cross-cutting skills<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Advanced writing capacities in English.<\/li>\n Advanced proposal writing skills in English.<\/li>\n Excellent organizational and time management skills.<\/li>\n Adapting communication and messages to an intercultural environment.<\/li>\n Proactive, shows initiative\/entrepreneurial.<\/li>\n Working as part of a team\/network, cooperating.<\/li>\n Respect for the opinion and enhancement of the skills of others with a view to shared action.<\/li>\n Ability to give and receive constructive feedback; discussing with multi-disciplinary teams, working as part of a network and collaborating.<\/li>\n Empathy.<\/li>\n Resilience to stress and uncertainty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS:<\/strong><\/p>\n HI workers must adhere to the values and principles outlined in HI Code of conduct.
